So its now time to knuckle down and get ready for my Solo Exhibition starting in May at Sock Gallery, Loughborogh. My studio is a bit manic at the moment! Creating and curating a solo exhibition is a lot of hard work! creating a body of work that sits together in one space, deciding on size of canvas, making a decision on framing are they going to be oils, acrylics or a combination of the two? Mounting, varnishing, framing, pricing, designing, printing the list goes on and on! Its easy to get disctracted from the main thing which is to actually paint!
I work best (as do a lot of artists) when the pressure is on and I have a goal, a focus and most importantly... a deadline!
